Nephio revolutionizes cloud-native network automation as an intent-driven 5G platform. Emphasizing simplicity and efficiency, Nephio seamlessly integrates any network functions i.e., 5G, and O-RAN components, relying on the Kubernetes Resource Model and controllers as fundamental elements. Its intent-driven methodology ensures dynamic resource allocation, reducing manual intervention and aligning network operations with GitOps principles. In this presentation, we will explore Nephio's vision in supporting cloud-native automation, the current state of Nephio, and integration within the O-RAN architecture, outlining the roadmap for O-RAN implementation in the platform. Demonstrating Nephio's capabilities, we'll showcase its proficiency in managing infrastructure and network functions throughout its lifecycle. We will also share Nephio’s vision in leveraging GenAI capabilities in closed-loop operations that derive simplicity. This involves leveraging commercial Kubernetes infrastructure and incorporating Open Source O-RAN Network Functions provided by the OpenAirInterface Software Alliance.
